Shipyards
Equipment for a vessel under construction, delivery matched to the build schedule, commissioning and class acceptance.
From supply to service
Building the equipment is only half the job: it has to be installed, commissioned, accepted by the surveyor and serviced for years. MPS does all of it with its own people.
Building the unit to project requirements, load testing on the bench and shipment to the yard.
Supervising installation on board: correct mounting, connection and interfacing with the ship systems.
Setting up the unit and its control system, testing protections, taking part in mooring and sea trials.
Handover to the owner and the class surveyor, with all paperwork completed.
Engineer visits during the warranty period, diagnostics and fault clearing.
Servicing and repair through the equipment life cycle — including units supplied years ago.
Equipment selection at the design stage and crew training on the unit and its controls.
Documentation approval and acceptance with an RS or RCS surveyor — on the bench and on board.
Commissioning covers:
Work is carried out at the yard and on board, with a class society surveyor in attendance. Our certificates →
Our engineers also work with equipment from other manufacturers — on ships with imported gensets and control systems. This has become a separate need in recent years: keeping running the machinery whose supply has stopped, and replacing it with Russian-built units as it wears out.
If the equipment is no longer supported by its maker, we assess its condition and offer options: repair, a control system upgrade, or replacing the unit outright.

Replacing a worn-out unit, service between voyages, repair after a failure.
Selecting a unit at the design stage: power, dimensions, automation level and documents for approval.
