Automatically pick up the load in a blackout — a class society requirement for most vessel types.
Genset range
The range covers 24 units from 16 to 1520 kW — auxiliary and emergency versions. Main gensets and higher-power units are built to order: the production range goes up to 3000 kW.

How a marine unit differs from a land one
A marine genset is not interchangeable with an ordinary power unit: it works under roll and vibration, feeds consumers the ship safety depends on, and may only be installed after class society survey.
Hence marine units have their own designation by application and automation level, their own documentation package and a separate acceptance procedure — with a surveyor on the bench and again on board during trials.

Engine, alternator and base frame with mounts — run in and load-tested on our own bench.
Control system
MPS-designed control and protection panel for the required automation level.
Documents & acceptance
Acceptance with an RS or RCS surveyor and a full documentation package.
How to order a genset

Enquiry
You send the power, application and class requirements. If the project is still in design, the vessel type and expected load are enough.

Selection and price
We propose a model from the range or a project-specific build, the control system configuration and the price. Cost depends on power, automation and configuration — quoted on request.

Manufacturing
Assembly at our facility, control integration, run-in and load testing on the bench. Lead time is agreed to the vessel build schedule.

Shipment and commissioning
We ship to the yard, attend installation and commissioning, take part in mooring and sea trials and hand the equipment over.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a marine genset cost?
The price depends on power, application, automation level and control system configuration. There is no list price: we quote per project — send us your requirements and we will reply with a model and a price.
Which units are in stock?
Marine gensets are built to order: configuration, automation level and acceptance are tied to a specific vessel. The range of 24 units is the basis for selection; lead time is agreed to the build schedule.
Are the units class-approved?
Yes. Equipment is accepted with a surveyor of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) or the Russian Classification Society (RCS); the company holds certificates and type approvals from both.
What do A1, A2, A3 mean?
This is the automation level per class society requirements. The higher the level, the more functions run without watchkeeping. The required level is set by the vessel design.
Do you supply outside St. Petersburg?
Yes, we supply across Russia. The office is in St. Petersburg and the plant is in the Leningrad region; our engineers travel to the yard for installation supervision and commissioning.
Do you service units after the warranty?
Yes. We handle warranty and post-warranty service ourselves — including units supplied years ago and equipment from other manufacturers.
